The Living Cloth Collection
The Origin Blouse is made from 100% raw silk, a natural fibre with ancient roots, once traded through the lands of Serica, long known for silk production. Chosen for its softness, strength, and fluid drape, this silk feels quietly lush against the skin, with a subtle texture that softens and relaxes with wear.
The fabric falls gently along the body, never clinging, moving with ease and catching light as you do. Lightweight yet grounding, it offers breathability and comfort throughout the day.
Designed with two ties at the front, the silhouette is versatile and understated. It can be worn loosely for an easy, relaxed feel or gently drawn in for a touch of shape. An evolution of our Cocoa Blouse, The Origin Blouse features a slightly more refined cut while maintaining the same wearability and ease.
Each piece is hand dyed by me, using plant-based dyes, allowing color to infuse the silk slowly and organically. These are living colors, nuanced, layered, and shaped by the plants themselves, as well as by sun, time, and process. Subtle variations are part of the making and a reflection of the materials and methods used.
The Origin Blouse is rooted in material honesty: natural silk, plant-derived color, and thoughtful design, made to be worn often and to age beautifully.
Plant Dye Notes
Dyer’s Polypore Mushroom
This version of The Origin Blouse is dyed using dyer’s polypore mushrooms that I forage by hand in the forests in and around my home. Collected slowly and with care, the mushrooms are steeped over time to draw out their natural pigment, allowing the color to develop gradually and fully before being introduced to the silk.
Dyer’s polypore produces rich, earthy tones with remarkable depth; colors that feel grounded, warm, and quietly complex. As the silk absorbs the dye, the fabric takes on a softness and dimensionality that reflects the slow, patient nature of the process itself.
There is a sense of continuity in this dye; a connection to the most ancient knowledge held by forest floors and fungal networks, passed gently into cloth through time and attention. Each blouse carries subtle variation, shaped by season, place, and the living material of the mushroom.
No two pieces are exactly alike. What they share is a depth of tone and a quiet presence that can only come from working slowly and closely with the natural world.
Natural silk. Living color. Made slowly.

Care
Hand wash gently in cool water with a mild, pH-neutral soap. Hang to dry out of direct sunlight. Plant-dyed garments may soften and shift subtly over time, this is part of their living nature.
