Garden Bandana
Gathered from the garden, carried with you.
Each Garden Bandana begins with flowers and botanicals I've grown or foraged here on Salt Spring Island—garden roses, cosmos, lilies, young black walnuts, and whatever the season is offering. Every one is dyed by hand, allowing the colours of the landscape to become part of the cloth itself.
Cut from feather-light silk habotai and measuring 30" × 30", it's the piece I reach for almost every day. Tied around my neck on cool mornings, wrapped twice through the winter, worn as a headscarf, knotted onto a basket or bag, or even tied as a simple summer top.
No two are ever the same. Each bandana carries the quiet marks of the plants that coloured it, a small heirloom of the season it came from.
Made to be used, loved, and carried with you wherever the day leads.
